This is a part four of four LUSH product reviews of bath products.
Last time I reviewed a massage bar from LUSH. For those who don’t know what Lush is, let me give you a little background.
LUSH is a company located in the UK, known for making fresh handmade cosmetics from organic fruits and vegetables to make every skin, hair, body, and face problem simply disappear. They are also known for not testing on animals.
This week we are reviewing a lip product. The cold weather and high winds can leave lips feeling dry and chapped. It is very important to keep them exfoliated and hydrated.
Mint Julips Lip Scrub
What is it?
- Mint-chocolate pout polish
- Used for a flawless pout
- Contains Vanilla and Peppermint extract
- Made with mint chocolate and castor sugar
- All natural ingredients
Before purchasing this product, I was offered to try it in the store. One of my favorite things about LUSH is the “try before you buy” aspect they offer with a bunch of their products. The sales associate gave me a little sample and instructed me to buff it into my lips until all the dead skin was off and my lips felt soft and smooth.
Using the Product
Immediately I felt a sense of freshness and peppermint. The sugar gently exfoliates the lip skin. I wiped off the excess (you can lick it off if you prefer) and was sold on the product. After using the lip scrub they recommend using one of the lush lip balms. I sampled the lip balm in the store as well. I highly recommend getting both.
The only issue I have with this product is how difficult it can be to get the product out of the container. It’s filled all the way to the top and doesn’t really stick to your fingers to get a good scoop. I suggest using a Q-tip or the tip of a wooden stick.
