Super Bowl Preview:

Super Bowl XLIX will debut this Sunday, February 1, 2015. This year, the New England Patriots will be taking on the Seattle Seahawks in the game of the year. Both teams come into this game with a regular season record of 12-4. It should be an athletic battle for the ages. Tom Brady and company will be going up against the number one passing defense and third overall rushing defense in the league. The Patriots’ offense were 18th in overall rushing this season and ninth in the passing game.
The Seahawks have the best secondary in the NFL to shut down Tom Brady. They also have a fast, hard hitting defensive line that can put pressure on number 12. Tom Brady struggles when his pocket is collapsing which means he is going to rely on getting the ball out of his hands as quickly as possible. We will most likely see a lot of short passes from Tom Brady because he will not have a lot of time to throw the ball down field due to Seattle’s awesome secondary made up of Richard Sherman, Byron Maxwell, Kam Chancellor, Jeremy Lane, and Earl Thomas.
Brandon Browner, a former member of the Legion of Boom, will be playing in the Patriots’ secondary in this game. Seattle had the number one rushing offense in the NFL this year, but they were 27th in overall passing yardage. The Patriots’ defense are 17th in stopping the pass and ninth in stopping the run. The Seahawks will have to rely on their running game in this match up, but if Russell Wilson can move around in the pocket the Seahawks should be able to pass the ball. It will be interesting to see how the game will unfold on Sunday, but as for right now I am picking the Seattle Seahawks to win the Super Bowl, 27-24.

NBA Game of the Week: Dallas Mavericks vs. Golden State Warriors
The Mavericks have been struggling on offense recently. They had 23 turnovers against the Houston Rockets last Wednesday. This loss added to their four game losing streak. The Warriors were on a five game winning streak until the lost to the Chicago Bulls at home last Tuesday. The Mavericks will be coming to Golden State for this match up on February 4 at 10:30 pm on ESPN.
The Warriors are one of the best teams in the NBA right now. They are phenomenal at spreading the ball around and getting their players open to make shots. If the Mavericks can find a way to not turn the ball over, it should be a pretty close game. However, I think the Warriors will come out on top, 110-102.

NHL Game of the Week: Tampa Bay Lightning vs. St. Louis Blues
The Tampa Bay Lightning will be heading to St. Louis to take on the Blues on Tuesday, February 3. The Blues and the Lightning are two of the top scoring teams in the league. Both teams are averaging around three goals a game. St. Louis has a much better defense than Tampa Bay and I think that is going to be a huge factor in this game. I think the Blues are going to pull off the upset, 3-2.
