Happy New Year

Happy 2015!
Here’s an update: I am now 22 years old, and this is my last semester at Misericordia (and Cougar Radio). Where has the time gone? I am lucky because my birthday is the 2nd to last day of the year. Each year, I get a special new beginning because I am a brand new age and a brand new person (ha ha). And it is still resolution season!
Whether you have resolved to get healthier, or be smarter, or be a better person, or well, not to change because you already rock, I support you. And here are some tracks that will motivate you all year long.

My first pick is the earworm that is Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off.

I’m avoiding the official music video and instead using the viral video of a Dover (yay Delaware) policeman singing. Just shake off your bad attitudes, procrastinating, and laziness.

Next up, the classic Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing.

Karaoke version so you can sing along!

Bobby McFerrin’s Don’t Worry, Be Happy

As a child, I used to sing this to my friends. DON’T WORRY BE HAPPY NOW DO DO DO DODO.

FUN’s We are Young

I now sing, “nosotros somos jóvenes”. I also love Taco Bell. This song has the attitude of staying young and having fun.

It’s Time- Imagine Dragons

It’s time to begin, isn’t it? And yes, this was at Firefly. (Go Delaware! Again!)

and finally,  A Great Big World – This Is the New Year

What was it that Ms. Frizzle said? Take chances, make mistakes and get messy!
