You have no idea how thrilled I am to see “Dumb and Dumber To, ” the long awaited sequel to 1994’s “Dumb and Dumber.” I am equally excited to hear the new soundtrack.
If you have never seen the original movie, you missed out on some awesome music. But I am here to save you! However, I won’t focus on the songs from the actual soundtrack..that’s what Amazon reviews are for. Instead, I present to you the missing songs.
First of all, the most excellent song “Boom Shack-A-Lak” by Apache Indian. Are you kiddin’ me?! Why this did not get on the soundtrack is beyond me. Like they used to say on American Bandstand “It has a good beat and is easy to dance to.” No spoilers here, but this song really sets the tone for the movie. Hysterical!!!
Next up is “Rolling Down The Hill” by The Rembrandts. Awwww. Such a sweet song describing Harry and LLoyd’s beautiful, yet dysfunctional, friendship. 🙂 Gotta love it!
And Todd Rundgren with “Can We Still Be Friends” is heard at a very pivotal point in the movie. I’m telling you, you have to, have to, have to see the original. Is that clear?
Lastly, there’s The Cowsils with “The Rain, the Park & Other Things.” You might think it’s just a really romantic and sweet song, but until you see the movie, you have no idea what it represents.
So, I know that the sequel’s soundtrack will be just as good, if not better than the original. And for those of you who think that this is the third in the franchise, you are mistaken. The Farrelly Brothers had nothing to do with that Dumberer thing. Nothing at all.
And, just because you read this whole thing….(spoiler alert)
