This year marks Misericordia’s 90th anniversary.
Homecoming was this weekend and every homecoming has a theme- with a dance, a talent show and a day of activities to enjoy (in the past, soccer games and lacrosse games but in the past few years, a football game too). The theme this year? Throwback to the 90’s!
Cougar Radio played deejay at the dance with a groovy 90’s playlist including: The Spice Girls, N*SYNC, the Macarena, The Carlton, Blue and Shaggy.
I dressed appropriately in a pair of jeans with the ankles rolled, combat boots, a tucked in Stones shirt and a button up shirt tied around my waist. I was going for a grunge look, minus the flannel.
In spirit of the weekend, here are my top songs, in no particular order.
Gonna Make You Sweat “Everybody Dance Now”
Baby Got Back
I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)
Truly Madly Deeply
I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing
Livin’ La Vida Loca
There are less songs on here than I thought. I guess I’ll stick to my alt rock!
What are your favorite songs? Let me know!
