“This is a story of boy meets girl.
The boy, Tom Hanson of Margate, New Jersey,
grew up believing that he’d never truly be happy
until the day hemet “the one.”
This belief stemmed from early exposure to sad British pop music
and a total misreading of the movie ‘The Graduate’.
The girl, Summer Finn of Chennicok, Michigan,
did not share this belief.
Since the disintegration of her parents’ marriage,
she’d only loved two things;
The first was her long, dark hair.
The second was how easily she could cut it off,
and feel nothing.
Tom meets Summer on January eighth.
He knows, almost immediately, she is who he’s been searching for.
This is a story of boy meets girl,
but you should know upfront…
This is not a love story.”
I’d like to introduce you to my favorite movie. and it just so happens that the soundtrack to it is one of my favorites too.
So…i like romance movies. and I like comedys. and I like unconventional things.
I also really like Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon Levitt.
Anyways, this movie, despite it saying that it’s not a love story, is a love story. It’s the story of how Tom lusted after Summer, got Summer, got his heart broken over Summer, and moved on…to Autumn.
So the soundtrack..here it is!

I’m not sure if I like these songs so much because I like the movie so much, and they just fit together.
Movie soundtracks are something wonderful, don’t you think?
The music adds emotion, fills in the silence, and just complements the scenes really well.
Fun fact: the last track on the soundtrack is sung by Zooey Deschanel’s band, She & Him.
Check out this soundtrack, and this wonderful song sung by the two stars of the movie:
