Greetings! Nicole Reporting for Duty

imageHey Guys! My name’s Nicole and I am the brand new Music Director for our very own Cougar Radio. First and foremost I am so excited to do this and see what kind of cool jams I can contribute to the station. This will be my intro piece, so I’ll start with the basics. I am a 20 year old Irish Italian female, 5’2, from the First State(Delaware). I am a huge fan of 90’s alternative rock. Growing up, I was all about the pop music: NSYNC, Hilary Duff, Shania Twain. I remember rocking out to Pretty Fly (for a White Guy) by the Offsprings, and I used to refer to “I Miss You” by Blink 182 as the ‘yed’ song (which drove my sisters INSANE). As I grew older, my taste improved dramatically. I attended Warped Tour for the first time in 2007 with my sister, and okay, my dad went too. He hung out on the outskirts of the crowds. This is where I fell in love with All Time Low. This is important because it reflects my love of pop-punk music throughout middle and high school. Like I mentioned before, my heart (and ears) are stuck in the 90’s, but I do love the 80’s. I spent all summer listening to my dad’s iPod. I never skipped over Weezer, Blink 182, Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Beastie Boys, Queen, the Foo Fighters, Cheap Trick, the Killers and Tom Petty. My favorite radio station (outside of Cougar Radio!) is Radio 1045, based out of Philadephia. I have to admit, I do enjoy some of the Top 40 hits. Who can resist What Makes You Beautiful or Just Give Me a Reason?

FYI: I have taken a History of Rock and Roll class and I am currently in Pop Music: Diversity and Identity in American Society.
And just some fun facts:
I like soccer, hockey and football. I am the youngest of 4 girls. I like being barefoot. I like both cats and dogs. I dyed my hair blue once. AND I LOVE CHRISTMAS.
